Salman Taseer Pak Punjab Governor Died & Assassinated

He died on January 4, 2011 in Islamabad when he was shot in the chest by his own security guard and succumbed to his wounds.

Taseer was killed in a gun attack on 4th January, 2011 at Kohsar Market in Islamabad, a popular shopping and cafe spot in the F6 sector.[2] His attacker, named as Mumtaz Qadri, an officer of the [Elite Punjab Police]], was himself killed by the police and Taseer's bodyguards. Taseer succumbed to his injuries in the local hospital.
